Hello and welcome to my profile!
My name is Zélia—a passionate freelance photographer and retoucher, recently graduated from the Spéos school in Paris.
My path wasn't straightforward, but it led me exactly where I needed to be: behind the lens.
After a year in visual arts at university, I realized that I wasn't just looking for a creative field, but a truly human and stimulating environment. It was at Spéos that I found my calling: for two years, I learned technique, lighting, composition, retouching... but also the importance of emotion, accuracy, and perspective.
Once graduated, I knocked on many doors, looking for assistant or salaried photographer positions—without success. So, I took a detour, a fixed-term contract at Lush, and then made the decision most aligned with myself: to go 100% freelance as a photographer & retoucher.
Today, I'm here to listen and work with you to create custom, human-centered, and creative projects together.
