Function: Expert in investment strategy and sustainability**

Within the Investment Office of Crelan, I ensure a transversal role between macroeconomic analysis, construction of model portfolios, and integration of ESG criteria in the bank's investment strategy.

✳️ Main missions:

Development of the investment strategy for retail clients: asset allocation, tactical recommendations and communication of convictions to agencies.

Construction and updating of model portfolios (risk profiles) integrating multi-asset class funds, SRI and sustainable themes.

Participation in the selection and monitoring of investment funds, in connection with partners such as Amundi, AXA IM, CPR, KBI, Econopolis, etc.

Integration of ESG issues in investment recommendations: analysis of article 8/9 SFDR funds, controversy management, Taxonomy compliance.

Production of content for bank advisors (market analysis, product sheets, sales arguments).

Piloting educational initiatives and ESG evangelization within the agency network.

Contribution to the implementation of digital tools to improve customer advice (dashboards, podcasts, ESG scorecards...).

Strengthening the ESG credibility of the bank through diagnostic tools.

Better readability of the allocation strategy thanks to a clear structuring of portfolios.

Recognized technical support on regulatory (MiFID, SFDR) and sustainability issues.

As a CJE within the Savings and Investments department, I was responsible for evolving ING Belgium's customer journeys and investment offer towards a sustainable, responsible approach compliant with European regulatory frameworks (MiFID II, SFDR, green taxonomy).

Align customer experience, product offering and regulatory requirements around a sustainable investment strategy.

🔍 Key responsibilities:

Development of customer journeys integrating ESG preferences, in line with MiFID II recommendations (mandatory integration of sustainability preferences in advice).

Improvement of the sustainable investment offer: collaboration with asset managers to identify and enhance article 8 and 9 funds (SFDR).

Participation in the construction of the "Sustainable by design" strategy, to make sustainable solutions more accessible and understandable for the end customer.

Coordination of ESG customer communication (educational content, alerts, emails, website) with marketing and product teams.

Cross-functional work with legal, compliance, data & UX teams to ensure a smooth and compliant experience.

Implementation of the ESG filter in the digital investment journey.

Contribution to customer reporting on sustainability indicators (ESG score, carbon exposure...).

Design of a sustainable profile assessment tool in the advisory process.

Internal training of sales teams on ESG topics.
