Altos de Mora Housing was born as a family retreat for rest, conceived to strengthen bonds in each vacation encounter. The project is developed entirely on one floor, prioritizing spaciousness, comfort, and functionality in all its spaces.

The distribution includes four bedrooms, two of them with private bathrooms, which allows comfortably accommodating the entire family while maintaining privacy and comfort. The social area, composed of a living room, dining room, and open-concept kitchen, was designed to encourage interaction and collective enjoyment in a fluid and bright environment.

In its main access, the house has a covered garage with capacity for two large vehicles, functionally integrated into the general scheme of the house.

The materiality of the project is mainly composed of tile floors, chosen for their resistance and ease of maintenance, complemented by wood details in wet areas such as bathrooms, providing warmth and visual contrast. This combination achieves a serene and welcoming atmosphere, ideal for rest and disconnection.

This remodeling project starts from a clear premise: to renovate without losing the essence of the home. The objective was to transform key spaces of the house—the kitchen, the bathroom, and the closets—to adapt them to new aesthetic and functional needs, improving the daily experience of its inhabitants.

The kitchen was redesigned as the heart of the home, with a more efficient and open distribution that favors circulation and family interaction. Modern materials, clean textures, and a neutral palette were incorporated to achieve a contemporary, warm, and functional atmosphere at the same time.

The bathroom was intervened with a focus on comfort and well-being. Sober finishes, wood details, and high-quality porcelain tiles were chosen, providing elegance, durability, and a domestic spa sensation.

The closets were redesigned to optimize storage, incorporating modular solutions and functional systems that increase capacity without sacrificing aesthetics. The result is a renovated home that breathes order, clarity, and harmony, achieving a comprehensive improvement without resorting to major structural changes.

This design arises as a response to a family's need for a recreational space that promotes connection, rest, and fun in an environment with a summer spirit. The architectural proposal starts from integrating various functional spaces that, although different in use, are articulated harmoniously to create a unified and welcoming experience.

On its ground floor, the social area is distributed with a living room, open kitchen, an auxiliary room, a social bathroom, a BBQ area, and a pool that becomes the central axis of the project. These spaces were designed to facilitate family gatherings and outdoor activities, without losing privacy and comfort.

The second floor houses the private area, consisting of the master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and two auxiliary bedrooms that share a social bathroom. This distribution allows for a clear separation of social and private areas, ensuring comfort and privacy for all family members.

Regarding its materiality, porcelain tile floors combined with wood details were chosen, generating a fresh but warm aesthetic, ideal for a family and vacation environment. The mixture of textures reinforces the relaxed and elegant character of the project.
