PROJECT: build a middleware layer for Oberoi mobile applications, a hotel chain (over 30 luxury hotels), to communicate with third-party systems (specifically with PMS: Property Management System).

Assigned to a project manager, a team leader, and two other developers, and liaising with the infrastructure and mobile teams.

Corrective and evolutionary maintenance: Incident resolution, performance optimization, and implementation of new Back/Front functionalities.

Data flow management: Integration of partner data (Kafka), ensuring data consistency and availability.

Monitoring Kafka consumers to ensure reception and processing of critical messages.

Management of consumption failures through a manual catch-up mechanism allowing reprocessing of unprocessed messages to ensure data reliability.

Cross-functional collaboration: Coordination with infrastructure teams, external partners, and business units (IT, operators).

Maintain APIs: Postman/ Soap UI

MISSION:

• Understanding business needs and functional analysis

• Ensure evolutionary and corrective maintenance of solutions.

• Creation of REST interface between a backoffice application for managing professional training financing developed in GWT and a Web extranet.

• Development of enhancements on the online professional training collection module to collect apprenticeship tax and incorporate changes related to the professional training reform.

Technical Environment: Java 8, Hibernate, Spring, Spring Security, Git, Tomcat, Oracle, Maven, Struts, GWT.
