Xavier Verstraete

I started my career in a mechanical design office at Valeo. I developed the first hands-free car starting system, without a key and with a card for Renault.

Then, I developed the front/rear window lifting system for the 306 convertible with a very specific kinematics due to the hood system.

In 2000, I arrived in Troyes for personal reasons. I changed sectors. I left the automotive industry, product development, to discover special machines and process development. From then on, I designed the machines that would manufacture and assemble the mechanical systems that I had previously developed. I always have a "foot in the automotive industry".

Since the beginning of my career, I have wanted to work in or with foreign countries. I joined Aries Packaging, an international manufacturer of over-packaging machines for agri-food products, mainly yogurts. I define the principles on special projects, manage projects, implementations, installation, customer relations and after-sales commercial aspects.

I arrived at Petitjean to develop new products because the last development in streetlights was 10 years ago. In 2 years, I developed 6 new products and/or streetlight accessories and filed 2 patents. I also manage the organization of stands at the "Salon des Maires" in Paris and "Light and Building" in Frankfurt.

In 2016, I created Inotek Development, an industrial engineering company mainly oriented towards VSEs/SMEs that do not have integrated R&D or do not have the means to call on large engineering firms.
