Leader of digital strategy and implementation, managing processes, roadmaps, products and key reports. Digital and Paperback Publishing List – Reporting directly to the senior management team, created and implemented the company's digital strategy, including a new, bespoke publishing program and publishing system designed around first-time and underrepresented authors with smaller funding networks. – Project and client management across multiple stakeholders both inside and outside the business, with an internal lean startup approach and a strategically outsourced model designed for better scale. Working to and achieving strategic and commercial KPIs. Digital Books Production – Created "best in class" digital books and built e-book turnover from <5% to 35% of revenue. Designed and oversaw the build of a bookmaking toolkit using node.js to create, edit and manipulate epub files quickly and accurately. – Metadata creation and management as well as e-book & audiobook creation and upload. Retailer management (Amazon/iBooks, etc.) as well as responsibility for digital marketing and promotion management across the list. Unbound Website Launch – Project management from outline to launch, including: broad stakeholder management from senior management all the way to individual clients; wireframes, user journey creation, UX/UI testing, A/B tests and analysis; outsourced developer team recruitment and management; Github/Trello/ ticket management; client, supplier and stakeholder communications and negotiation. – Website won The Futurebook Digital Innovation Award (2011) and Best Publishing Website (2014) – Launched the company, and the website, from the middle of a field in Wales.
