Project Content:

The BA is planning the introduction of a new policy administration system for its IT landscape.

During the first acceptance test, it was found that the previous requirements were not fully captured on the one hand, and on the other hand, they were not correctly and adequately implemented by the external software supplier.

The task was therefore to consolidate and prepare the requirements, as well as to support the business department during the second acceptance test.

My main activities:

• Recording the current situation

• Business analysis and requirements management

• Analysis, evaluation, and completion of existing project artifacts

• Modeling and redesign of core processes

• Workshops with business departments to identify the current and target states

• Coordination with the external service provider regarding the target state

• Preparation of project artifacts to support test management

• Creation of test cases

• Support of the business department during the second acceptance test

Project Content:

dmc is developing a completely new e-commerce strategy and platform for Daimler AG on behalf of the joint venture Cinteo.

This includes, among other things, the replacement of the existing Intershop landscape and the migration to a new Hybris system. Various new initiatives are also being launched as part of this. Among these is "Connect", the integration of telematics products from various model series.

With the delivery of the new E-Class in 04/16, it should be possible to purchase the "Park Pilot" service in a webshop and activate it in the vehicle at the same time. dmc is developing the shop frontend and the necessary interfaces to the systems of Daimler AG and other (external) project partners for this purpose.

My main activities:

• Taking over project responsibility in a critical state

• Project management according to time, scope, budget

• Recording the current situation

• Deriving suitable measures to ensure Go Live 03/2016

• Creating a detailed project plan

• Ongoing, targeted coordination with responsible contact persons at Daimler AG and affiliated companies

• Responsibility for setting up various test systems, providing a suitable test plan, and coordinating with the test team

• Capacity planning, including coordination with other project managers

• Creation of suitable internal and external reports

• Ongoing coordination with Product Owner and Scrum Master

• Planning of acceptance and Go-Live

• Preparation for the handover of the project to service and ongoing operation

Project "VAS" (07/16 - 09/16)

Project Content:

An existing legacy system must be replaced as part of a roadmap to be implemented. The existing documentation for this system is scattered, inconsistent, and incomplete. Knowledge carriers for partial aspects are few and very limited in availability.

For the successor system, the requirements must be identified based on the current situation, clearly defined, and appropriately documented.

My main activities:

• Collection, systematization, and formulation of the functional and technical requirements of the existing legacy system

• Creation of a (very rough) requirements document for the existing legacy system

Project "MPLUS" (08/16 - 09/16)

Project Content:

To identify the usage reports of licensed works received from customers, these are matched against the work documentation using self-developed algorithms.

The existing software is to be replaced by new, more powerful software.

My main activities:

• Coaching internal employees in various aspects of requirements management

• Review of the existing high-level concept

• Support in planning the creation of the detailed functional concept

Project "VEGA" (09/16 - 06/17)

Project Content:

The VEGA project is responsible for harmonizing the distribution processes and the currently sector-specific system landscape. Positive effects are to be achieved through streamlining, standardization, and automation of processes. The processes and the IT landscape are to be aligned with the strategic target picture in a new software environment.

My main activities:

• Collection, systematization, and formulation of functional requirements

• Business Analysis

• Modeling and redesign of processes

• Identification of redundancies and opportunities for standardization of processes across different sectors

• Creation of a detailed functional concept

• Support in the introduction of requirements management software and migration of existing requirement documents
