This change management approach is based on thequality standard for IP management DIN 77006and the principles described therein. Accordingly, for the first time, audits of IP management are also possible, both within one's own company and within the value creation network. This also effectively prevents patent infringements and reduces risks in dealing with third-party patents.

Achange processtypically lasts 9-12 months and includes, in addition to defining IP policy and strategy, adapting processes, building employee competencies, and, if necessary, selecting suitable tools.
