The 8000s are the fourteen legendary mountains rising above 8000 meters. At this altitude, the lack of oxygen drastically reduces physical and mental capabilities. This makes it one of the most formidable challenges in the world, coveted by mountaineers seeking major achievements.

In her quest for the fourteen 8000s, Adriana Brownlee tackles Gasherbrum I and Gasherbrum II, her 10th and 11th peaks over 8000 meters, and her last two peaks in Pakistan. To evolve her practice, she sets herself the challenge of minimizing assistance and avoiding oxygen use. Alongside her climbing partner Gelje (Geljen Sherpa), she adopts a more alpine style, thus adding a new dimension and new difficulties to her ascent.

This journey brings her unforgettable encounters, intense emotions, and moments of pain, but it also opens her eyes to the 8000s industry. After years of dreams and ten legendary summits climbed, she realizes that this race for performance does not correspond to what she imagined when she was 8 years old. This film tells the story of a dream come true, but also that of a woman who wants to rediscover the practice of her childhood... and start dreaming again.

One of my biggest projects: I had the heavy task of realizing all the motion graphics for this film, from 2D animating all the texts, to 3D presenting Adriana's journey, and finally an end credit sequence highlighting all the people who worked on the film.

Colin Olivero, outdoor filmmaker and director of the film NUIT BLANCHE, contacted me to do the motion graphics for the titles and the route for his film.

We premiered it at Pathé Bellecour in Lyon.
