Vincent Legendre

My name is Vincent Legendre,

During my three years of higher education at the IUT d'informatique d'Orsay, I studied the fundamentals of very diverse fields including a lot of Java programming, database management, and web design (front-end & back-end). Furthermore, my studies also provided me with knowledge in related fields, such as project management, report writing, and agile methodology, among others. It should also be noted that I spent my third year of study in an apprenticeship program as a web designer for the municipal website of the town hall of Forges-les-Bains.

Subsequently, I decided to detach myself from the school system to try my luck as a self-taught developer of my own video game. A year later, I registered on Malt to find freelance contracts. During this period, self-taught learning allowed me to acquire skills in development with Gamemaker 2 and Unity 3D, as well as to deepen my 3D modeling skills with Blender.

It was therefore two years after the end of my studies that I received an offer to work at Alstom Belgium as a V&V consultant on their RBC software (verification and validation - Radio Block Center, a "master software" that manages trains in a geographical area).

I first spent 2 years there in Belgium as an international intern (VIE), with 90% remote work (due to Covid), then 1 year and 4 months fully remote from France.

For many years, my passions for IT and video games have guided my life towards development and general IT. Moreover, my self-taught ability allows me to work in most fields, as long as the project in question gives me the time to learn what I might be missing.
