On behalf of Fusion Storm, I was responsible for migrating physical servers to virtual machines hosted on an ESX.

To do this, I used a tool called VMware vCenter Converter Standalone, which is installed on the server once it is ready for migration.

An image is created by this tool, which makes a full copy to the new server.

Once the migration is successfully completed (this does not always happen on the first try), functionality tests are carried out with the concerned teams.
