I am one of those developers who had to create web interfaces for 800 by 600 screens... who optimized every file to make the application accessible on 56k modems... who had JavaScript code for IE6, one for Mozilla, and one for Safari... who informed all team members about which file they were working on so that no one would open that file, ... then came ADSL, fiber, jquery, Bootstrap, SVN, GIT, ORMs, frameworks, jenkins, teamcity, AGILE methodology, responsive design, Gulp, Angulars, docker... Our 1789, our "Bella ciao" for us developers... but every year! So we do, we undo, we redo, we throw away, we optimize, we keep the code alive, we make it survive, it's our baby! the more lines of code it contains, the more it grows, the older it gets, and the more it's our baby... paradoxical, isn't it?
