Since I was 6 years old, I have been daily recording data on temperature, precipitation, pressure, humidity, wind, cloudiness, meteorological phenomena, snow depths, etc., in the center-east of Asturias. Since I was 12, I have been making daily meteorological forecasts with detailed monitoring for family and acquaintances, with special detail on winds at different altitudes and determining orographic factors in areas with complex orography like Asturias, but I can make forecasts for anywhere in the globe. On the other hand, I handle a large amount of daily data from many meteorological stations, automatically updated daily with Excel scripts and macros. I also manage the Historicoclimastur website with ERA5 data from the Copernicus website and my own historical data on snow depths and days of precipitation in the form of snow at different altitudes in Asturias. My studies are in Electrical Engineering, and I work professionally in this field, in addition to meteorology. For my final degree project in Electrical Engineering, I analyzed the most efficient way to distribute different renewable energy production technologies across the Iberian geography according to the various meteorological situations that affect the Peninsula throughout the year, in order to create the most efficient system possible, without excess production on favorable days and making the most of less favorable days. In this way, we can discuss how to use the mix of technologies to adapt other non-renewable technologies, connection systems, or storage that can act in the most convenient and efficient way when forming and managing the system.
