Victor Matei

Upon graduating in finance, I partnered to develop a SaaS startup (monitoring software) and became **COO/CFO**. We raised €2M in equity, I also secured €450k in public funding from BPI and the IDF region, the JEI label, and handled CIR applications (approx. €80k/year). I internalized and automated accounting and financial management (Stripe, Quickbooks, Payfit, etc.) to obtain up-to-date and consolidated forward-looking financial reporting each month (US & FR entities).

A few years later, I inherited my father's screen printing business, which was in bankruptcy. I fought to turn it around. I took over all accounting for the past few months to identify recoverable debts and rebuild cash flow. I obtained a plethora of Covid-related financial aid (PGE, Rebond Loan, Resilience Fund...) but also little-known aid (Revitalization Plan). I developed and automated numerous commercial and financial processes, then implemented a collective safeguard procedure to save the business.

Passionate about financial challenges, I then launched myself as an external **CFO**, I really enjoy my job which, contrary to popular belief, requires creativity! I support all types of SMEs and here are a few examples of missions:

> Restructuring & operational management of the finance function(4 days/month then 2 days/month)

- Rethinking processes, selecting and implementing tools (from invoice collection to recovery and reporting), automating workflows & coordinating internal resources to have up-to-date and actionable financial data in near real-time

> Setting up a financial cockpit(6-12 days depending on complexity)

- Creation of reporting tools (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow forecasts & specific KPIs) connected to accounting

> Business Plan(2-5 days depending on complexity)
