Victor Cameo Ponz

I am Victor Cameo Ponz, I am 30 years old and I was born and raised in Toulouse. I studied engineering in computer science and applied mathematics in Rouen, and I have worked mainly in Toulouse and Montpellier. I love climbing and sports in general, which are my favorite activities during my travels.

I became passionate about computer science very early on. In high school, I taught myself the basics of the web and programming. I specialized in applied mathematics at INSA Rouen, where numerical methods, combinatorics, optimization, and algorithms took center stage in my studies.

It was during my first job at Airbus Defence and Space that I understood the importance of automation, continuous integration pipelines, and testing, as well as their decisive role in the efficiency and quality of development and maintenance of all types of applications. I then sought to bring this DevOps methodology to the projects I was involved in. For me, it's a way of thinking, a search for comfort and optimization for the benefit of productivity, rather than a blind use of the latest generation tools.

I took on the role of trainer for the first time at CINES. Through these various experiences, I confirmed my interest in learning and knowledge transfer. This is something I had already noticed through my practice of climbing and aikido.

In 2019, I went to discover Brazil for a year with the goal of learning Portuguese and then having the opportunity to return to work there. During this trip, I started developing the mobile application, TextLaunch, which proved to me the possibility of working effectively as a nomad. This experience prompted me to push the concept further and look for self-employment.
