• Led a global purchasing department for technology and IT-related services. Responsible for the business relationship with suppliers and partners, process owner of the purchasing process for hardware, software, and services. Budget responsibility for over USD 20 million in Capex and over USD 40 million in Opex.

• Integration of teams at six different locations in the USA, Europe, and Asia into a powerful global purchasing department. Continuous development and mentoring of a diverse group of sourcing professionals. Development of the teams from a more operational focus to a strategically oriented approach. This increased efficiency, motivation, and identification with global corporate goals.

• With my department, I achieved annual savings of USD 4-8 million – with increasing utilization of IT services due to continuous business growth. Cost reduction was primarily achieved through renegotiation of contracts with strategic suppliers and consistent consolidation of the portfolio.

• Key stakeholder in the migration of applications and IT services from own data centers to a cloud infrastructure. Management of the dual-vendor strategy (AWS and Azure), project controlling with a focus on cost savings and efficiency gains.

• Key stakeholder in the introduction of Workday "Procure-to-Pay" and the associated further development of the purchasing process. I worked closely with the finance department and seamlessly integrated purchasing processes into financial planning and compliance guidelines.

• Successful introduction of a global solution for contract management with the main goals: proactive contract management, support in the negotiation process through historical data and benchmarks, budget planning, asset tracking.
