- Paradox Engineering SA,SOFTWARE ENGINEERJune 2021 - September 2025 (4 years and 3 months)Via Passeggiata 7, Novazzano, TI, Switzerland• ● Worked on several projects on the edge-side in the field of the Internet of Things (IoT), in particular in the sector of Smart Lighting and Smart Parking as urban solutions focusing on implementing modules that were reusable, maintainable and as easily testable as possible.• ● Developed, along with the software, two distinct platforms:◦ o An ARM-based embedded Linux system (referred to as gateway) that, on the lower side, connected a mesh of devices (referred to as nodes) using 6LowPan radio protocol to communicate and, on the cloud side, connected with a CMS (Content Management System) application through a TCP/IP channel over ethernet connection (Proprietary solution).◦ o An ARM-based embedded system, running a Legato framework on top of a Linux OS, physically paired to a node (globally referred to as Hybrid-Node) that, on the lower side, connected same type of nodes mesh and, towards the cloud side, connected to a message broker through a TCP/IP channel over a 5G connection (Open solution)• ● Implemented among the most complex FSMs, including the FSM of the firmware update over-the-air (FW OTA) for the nodes, the FSM of the software update over-the-air (SW OTA) for the Hybrid-Nodes and the FSM of the commissioning of the scheduling rules to switch on/off luminaries controlled by the nodes.• ● Utilized development technologies and languages including C++14 and the QT Framework, IoT standards including TALQ and LWM2M, for building scalable, high-performance embedded applications.• ● Used QTCreator, Git, GitLab, Jenkins, Jira as IDEs and tools for version control, continuous integration, and collaborative development.

- Paradox Engineering SA,SOFTWARE ENGINEERMay 2017 - May 2021 (4 years)Via Passeggiata 7, Novazzano, TI, Switzerland• ● Developed and maintained the back-end of the cloud infrastructure using containerised microservices (dockerized µServices) implemented in Python, ensuring modularity, scalability, and maintainability.• ● Contributed to design the inter-µServices communication via a message broker subsystem and contributed to implement REST APIs exposed by the front-end to interact with the user.• ● Managed independent databases for each µService - primarily relational databases, with some document-oriented and time-series databases — tailored to specific functional requirements.• ● Designed and implemented several µServices along with their related databases, including:◦ o A data ingestion µService to acquire and process raw sensor data.◦ o A network monitor µService to track sensor radio data over time and maintain real-time visibility of the mesh topology formed by point-to-point radio communication between nodes.◦ o A data analyser µService to process raw parking data and store it in structured, high-level formats within a time-series database.• ● Designed and implemented a proprietary package manager&deployer for applications and owned databases.
