Worked in the Standard Life client team of the Investment Vector responsible to manage circa £152b invested across private and public markets. Helped Aberdeen PLC to transform, simplify, reduce costs, and grow, e.g.:

• • Part of a core team to undertake comprehensive diagnostic assessment of the Private Credit business including Private Placements, Commercial Real Estate Loans, Infrastructure and Fund Financing to recommend a sustainable growth strategy (£11b-Committed Capital)

• • Supported Insurance and Pensions teams to respond to large tenders by insurance companies looking to outsource their asset management activities (typical mandate size of £0.5-£8b)

• • Assessed economics of strategic partnership between Aberdeen and Standard Life (£152b) to identify major value creation levers, value at stake and recommended strategic changes to maximise shareholder value measured by Cost to Income Ratio

• • Designed a strategic transformation programme for Aberdeen PLC to simplify relationship with Standard Life- one of the most complex insurance/asset management mandates in the UK

• • Led a programme to collectivise Unit Linked Assets into flagship vehicles (£8b) leading to significant annual VAT savings for the client

• • Part of a core commercial team responsible for triennial fee negotiation with Standard Life (£150-200m per annum)

Worked in the Manager Oversight section of the Investment Office- a fiduciary function responsible to manage circa £150b, as a Director. Management responsibility for oversight of ultra-liquid and illiquid asset classes and commercial fee negotiations.
