Tristan Coindet

Sound technician, composer, and sound explorer. My background, marked by a childhood surrounded by a jazz saxophonist's collection of world musical instruments, gave me a taste for improvised languages and interdisciplinary dialogues.

My collaborations with institutions such as La Batterie, Arcadi, the Île-de-France region, and Art Zoyd Studios have allowed me to develop hybrid projects combining creation, technique, and performance.

Among my notable experiences, I would mention my concert at the Basilica of Saint-Maximin, as part of the closing of the exhibition 'Marie Madeleine, Raphael's rediscovered masterpiece,' which attracted 80,000 visitors in one month, and my collaboration with visual artist Anthony Rousseau for his first short film 'Des_Constructions,' distributed in France and screened in art-house cinemas. This creation included Max/MSP programming, musical composition, studio recording, session direction, sound editing, and mixing.

I am also always very happy to simply mix or edit any audio or audiovisual material (podcasts, sound for concerts, conferences, recordings...).

To ensure clarity and define the universes in which I operate, I adopt different identities depending on the context and nature of the project. When my work combines technique and artistic creation, I use the name Tristan Faustt, a pseudonym inspired by my middle name, Faust. Conversely, for purely technical projects, I operate under my official name, Tristan Coindet. This duality allows me to adapt my approach to the expectations and codes specific to each field. My work thus extends from audio-visual arts to composition, as well as pure audio technology. This diversity enriches my career and allows me to fully explore the different facets of my professional identity.
