About Tomo

An Arts et Métiers engineer, I spent over 5 years in industrial and supply chain flows (GE Healthcare, Air Liquide), with a constant: developing digital tools to streamline operations. Multi-country procurement, Commissioning / After-Sales Service flows, performance monitoring, non-standard shipment management - in all these roles, code (VBA, JavaScript) was a concrete lever for field teams.

Today, I focus on web development (React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js), leveraging this dual expertise to create business applications. I am particularly comfortable with projects where the challenge is not only technical but also understanding an industrial or logistics process to translate it into a simple and usable tool.

What I can bring:

‣ Immediate understanding of an industrial or supply chain business need (Lean, Kanban, JIT, INCOTERMs, OQD…) - less scoping time, fewer back-and-forths.

‣ A Lean-inspired approach: challenge the need and simplify the process before writing the first line of code.

‣ Development of pragmatic web applications: internal tools, monitoring dashboards, business calculators, field data entry applications.

Based in Grenoble, I work remotely with a minimum availability of 3 days per week, which can be adjusted according to project phases. Occasional travel to Lyon, Paris, or internationally is possible (bilingual English, basic Japanese).

Personally, I enjoy climbing (certified instructor), offshore sailing, and playing the guitar.

  • Climbitsimple
    Web Developer - Personal Project
    SPORTS
    January 2024 - Today (2 years and 7 months)
    Grenoble, France
Design and development, autonomously, of the website for my climbing instructor activity: presentation of services, catalog of products and courses, contact form.

    Technical Stack:
    - Next.js (App Router), React, TypeScript
    - Native CSS (no framework - a deliberate choice to master the fundamentals before using a tool like Tailwind on future projects)
    - Typed JSON content, validated at compile time by TypeScript
    - PlanetHoster Hosting
    - Versioning with Github

Conscious architectural choices to allow rapid solo deployment: no administration back-office; content (products, sessions, prices, texts) is editable in typed JSON files and deployed by push. Simple, robust workflow, suited to the fact that I am the sole user of the back-end. For a multi-user client project, the trade-offs would obviously be different.

Before moving to this stack, I explored PHP and then Symfony, before switching to the JS/TS ecosystem to gain development speed and work with a single front-end + back-end language.

Website live since January 2025, used daily for marketing my services. I continue to evolve it (adding content, minor adjustments).

Skills Used and Transferable: design of a complete web product from wireframe to deployment, typed data structuring, autonomy on Next.js / React / TypeScript, pragmatic trade-offs between development speed and functional completeness.

  • ANDRICE
    Logistics Project Manager
    LOGISTICS AND SUPPLY CHAIN
    December 2020 - May 2022 (1 year and 5 months)
    Grenoble, France
18-month assignment as a Supply Chain consultant for Air Liquide Advanced Technologies (engineering subsidiary of the Air Liquide group, design and installation of cryogenic units for industrial clients), within the Supply Chain Department.

    Key Achievements:

    - Development and deployment of a tool for managing non-standard shipments (Spreadsheet + JavaScript / Apps Script): guided workflow, calculation of logistics parameters, traceability. Business design, development, and deployment to internal users handled autonomously. Tool put into production and used daily by the shipping team.

    - Implementation of an end-to-end Commissioning / After-Sales Service flow for a new internal activity: business plan, contracting of storage and transport (3PL), definition of procedures, team training, stock transfer, launch and performance monitoring. Project management role across the entire scope.
=> The flow is still functioning perfectly in 2026.

    - Implementation of IT tools for measuring logistics performance (OQD - On Quality Delivery): data collection, processing, and reporting to management.

    - Performance analysis and proposals for continuous improvement actions.

This is the mission that led me to web development: seeing a project combine business scoping (processes, training, contracting) and tool development (code, deployment, user support) showed me the type of mission I wanted to pursue. This is the approach I offer today for business application projects in industrial or supply chain environments.

    SPORTS
    May 2019 - September 2020 (1 year and 4 months)
    Queenstown, OT, New Zealand
18-month assignment in New Zealand, at the climbing gym managed by the Queenstown Lakes District Council. Fully English-speaking work environment, complete autonomy in the climbing scope.

    Scope:
    - Operational management of the gym: route setting, supply (holds, volumes), maintenance
    - Organization and leading of adult and children's classes
    - Design and organization of sports events (competitions, public events)
    - Promotion of the activity and member loyalty
    - Design of a member progress tracking booklet (levels, indicators, feedback)
    - Improvement and diversification of services offered

Experience that provided me with end-to-end autonomy over an activity, daily English communication with a diverse clientele (children, adults, beginners, experienced climbers, international tourists), and the habit of designing simple and usable tracking tools.
