Tasked to lead a diverse team of Manufacturing Engineers and New Product Design Engineers who are working on developing new, innovative and often market first products within the medical filtration industry. Accountable for the total management of the product design life cycle from product realisation through to production handover. Created and implemented the first apprenticeship scheme within the business.

Manage all stages of the new product development life cycle to ensure safe, secure, and efficient delivery of class 3 medical devices for human implantable use within the spine, orthopaedic (knee implants) and trauma sectors. Define and deliver stable and repeatable automated manufacturing processes to maximise productivity (injection & compression moulding). Prepare and maintain all validation documentation, including VMP, URS, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ, and VSR. Prepare and manage the product technical files from start to end of a project, including all required design and validation documentation. Responsible for creating and managing the first medical apprenticeship scheme within the business.

Created the total manufacturing processes for the delivery of new medical devices, specialising in the process of injection moulding. Key highlights include developing the manufacturing process for the worlds first PEEK knee implant taking it from design concept all the way through to clinical trials.
