Tim Haerkens

As a web developer, I work on many diverse projects. I have experience with various JavaScript frameworks, including primarily Vue, but also React and Angular. I am also familiar with different cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure. Additionally, I have experience with Laravel, APIs, Git, and Docker. With a bachelor's in game design & development and a passion for programming, I possess an excellent combination of creativity, structure, and experience. My varied portfolio provides a versatile perspective on problems and challenges, allowing them to be approached in different ways.

For the NPO, I worked on the new video and audio player as a frontend developer. I built the support library (npm package) that implementation parties like NPO Start, NOS, VPRO, BVN, and more can load on their web platform to play videos. I worked on UI functionality, back-end communication (stream data, DRM, security), and everything else related to a video player (subtitles, casting, thumbnail scrubbing, error messages, fragments).

I was responsible for building, maintaining, and expanding calculation tools for insurance companies, where premiums could be calculated based on provided specifications. Besides developing in PHP, I had a lot of contact with a.s.r. where challenges and issues were discussed.
