Implementation of a MicroServices platform POC with real-time constraints.

EMOVIS is a turnkey provider of toll infrastructure solutions for its clients.

It is looking for a solution to orchestrate a growing volume of transactions requiring a data control and validation process and thus obtain a modular architecture to design and deploy faster to its clients while limiting customization.

Implementation of a POC on the CSR perimeter (Roadside installation of the "Edge computing" type).

Missions and Work Performed:

• Installation and configuration of Kafka (Confluent Community)

• Installation and configuration of Rancher 2 and a private registry (Harbor)

• Development of microservices (Python/Java)

• Optimizations of Kafka, Rancher, and microservices to meet real-time challenges

• Performance benchmarking and testing to validate the POC's criteria

• Preparation of a report for presentation

• Training of Emovis teams on Rancher and Kubernetes

Industrialization of a Rancher2 container platform and Kubernetes clusters.

AVIVA's production department wanted to adopt the platform (Technology and best practices) and bring it up to AVIVA's operational standards and the state-of-the-art for CaaS Platforms.

Missions and Work Performed:

• Target solution design workshops

• High-availability deployment of the Rancher platform and Kubernetes clusters

• Automation of deployments using Ansible

• Containerization of existing internal applications

• Deployment of the first applications on the platform

• Implementation of monitoring and alerting

• Training and skills transfer to Aviva teams

Integration of a new commercial portal for the subsidiary and importer networks of the Peugeot, Citroën, DS, Opel, and Vauxhall brands.

This portal, developed under Liferay Community, is to be hosted on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud service.

Missions and Work Performed:

• Containerization of the Liferay portal and ElasticSearch

• High-availability installation and configuration of the various software components in the Amazon environment (AWS)

• Securing the environments

• Implementation of Amazon components (VPC, IAM, Elastic Beanstalk, Elastic Container Service (ECS), Cloudwatch, EC2, RDS (MySQL), etc...)

• Configuration of the CI/CD platform for the project

• Writing installation and operation documentation

• Skills transfer to offshore teams (Latin America)
