Many companies have now introduced initial AI tools without achieving significant added value. I support the use of Generative AI in a way that delivers concrete and measurable benefits.

I am Dr.-Ing. Thomas Langer, a TÜV-certified AI Consultant and owner of the engineering firm DesTEngS in Unterhaching near Munich. Since 2011, I have been freelancing to support companies in the conception, implementation, and verification of sophisticated technical solutions. Since 2025, my focus has been on Generative AI.

DesTEngS combines expertise from over 30 years of practical engineering experience in the development, testing, and system integration of new electronics with current technical expertise and practical experience in Generative AI. This enables tailor-made solutions that go beyond the introduction of standard products and precisely match the individual processes and data of the company.

Specifically, I offer AI training, AI potential analysis workshops with identification and evaluation of suitable use cases, roadmap creation and support during implementation, as well as AI implementations such as Retrieval Augmented Generation, LLM fine-tuning, or on-premise AI on the customer's GPU hardware. Additionally, I provide classic engineering services: concept development, requirements engineering, software design, and system integration.

What I am currently working on:

Local AI server with consumer graphics card for everyday business tasks: Determining the optimal combination of AI models for processing text, voice, and images.

Environment based on Claude Cowork for agentic marketing optimization in 25 sub-areas with a file-based knowledge base, Git repository, and exclusively human-creatable checkpoints.

Claude Code for creating business applications for a local AI server.
