Thierry Descombes

With over 10 years of experience in HSE within the pharmaceutical and process industry, I support companies in managing their risks, structuring their HSE approach, and progressively integrating CSR and sustainable transition issues.

My background is based on solid field experience, a good knowledge of industrial facilities, and a concrete approach to organizations. I have worked on topics such as occupational risk prevention, coactivity, prevention plans, regulatory compliance, POI writing, ICPE, ATEX (DRPCE), fire safety, risk analysis, audits, environmental management, as well as supporting teams and managers.

Trained in sustainable transition management at École des Mines Paris PSL, I also bring a complementary vision on CSR, ESG, and sustainability issues, with a pragmatic approach adapted to operational realities.

Accustomed to working transversally, I can communicate with stakeholders at all levels: management, managers, support functions, maintenance, production, external companies, and field teams. My added value lies in bridging the gap between regulatory requirements, operational constraints, and the search for applicable solutions.

My long-standing commitment to rescue and emergency management, particularly as a former volunteer firefighter and within the French Red Cross, strengthens my culture of prevention, teamwork, and useful action.
