Thibaut Genet

After more than 8 years of experience in the design and development of electronics within Alizent, a subsidiary responsible for industrial IT for the Air Liquide group, I decided to go freelance to broaden the range of projects I work on.

During these 8 years, I have implemented, among other things, BLE, LoRa(WAN), Sigfox, RFID, LCD, LTE-M, and NB-IoT technologies, always in embedded C on microcontrollers, with or without an OS, in environments constrained in terms of memory and energy.

Working in a very small team, I was responsible for the architecture and software development of projects. I am also involved in the design and debugging of hardware.

I notably developed the software for the Air Liquide group's new telemetry unit, which is energy self-sufficient, deployed to date in 20,000 units in 42 countries, and on which a process I invented for the project's needs resulted in a patent. I also participated in the Qlixbi project by fully developing the communication stack used by the bottle. Finally, many exploratory projects, including a connected glove presented at the STMicroelectronics stand at CES Las Vegas 2019!

Demonstrating the necessary rigor to deliver long-term functional embedded software, code versioning and documentation are part of my best practices to always be able to maintain and evolve projects years later.

In addition to this expertise, I have developed some Android applications, particularly for implementing demonstrations involving Bluetooth Low Energy, as well as a Python study to try to detect leaks on the first hydrogen stations installed in Paris.
