The security architect role is primarily focused on designing and implementing IT security solutions for businesses and organizations. Ensuring an optimal, consistent, and sustainable level of security for the information system, by anticipating threats and supporting the digital transformation of the organization. Here are the functions associated with this role:

• Collaborating with development and operations teams to implement security advancements and integrate them into the existing infrastructure, for example: version upgrades, architecture evolution, and network interconnection with external clouds.

• Identifying and assessing potential threats to the organization's information systems and data, as well as existing vulnerabilities in infrastructures and applications. With the demand for penetration testing and risk analysis from specialized teams and the assessment of the criticality level of personal and technical data, in order to propose the best solutions to integrate.

• Understanding the organization's specific security needs. This involves collaborating with different company teams to understand business and technical requirements. Particularly during tender interventions (RFI and RFP): Drafting open-ended and/or closed questions to assess the security relevance of the application.

• Ensuring regulatory compliance: GDPR, NIS2, etc.

• Reviewing the security of project architecture documentation and validating their compliance.

• Writing security documentation and presentations to enrich the knowledge base of security and technical teams.
