Hi, I'm Suzzana.

Visual arts have always been my passion, ever since I was a child. During my university studies, I was captivated by the idea of exploring different realities and delving into how we perceive the world: I am particularly fascinated by how children easily find beauty in simple things, which led me to the captivating world of children's literature, or "kidlit," as it's often called.

From the bustling streets of downtown to the quiet corners of local neighborhoods, I find inspiration in everyday life. I love traveling and immersing myself in different cultures to learn as much as possible. The world is a source of inspiration, and I enjoy experimenting with different mediums such as photography, videography, collage, and writing to bring my illustrations to life.

I grew up in Brazil, and I've had the privilege of calling different cities in my country home. Currently, I live and work in France, constantly inspired by the country's rich cultural and artistic tapestry.

Synopsis: Adorable animals explore emotions and show children how to feel better. This collection includes 8 illustrated books: When I Care for Others, When I'm Angry, When I'm Proud of Myself, When I'm Jealous, When I'm Sad, When I'm Scared, When I Worry, and When I Miss You.

Creation of an illustration for a poem written by a young author, to be part of the book "Histoires d'Ajudaris 2024", on the theme of "Peace".

For 15 years, the Portuguese NGO Ajudaris has been training children to become writers: in collaboration with teachers, educators, illustrators, and other partners. They collectively and passionately weave a supportive network with the "Histoires d'Ajudaris" project.

It was a privilege for me to contribute to this project by illustrating a child's poem, a world full of joy, where people can be free and where friendship and love are the founding values. The author dreams of a world without weapons, where everyone can live happily and in peace. We all dream of that, don't we?
