Stephanie Zink

With 15 years of experience in Finance and Accounting, I bring in-depth expertise that I selectively apply to my clients as a freelancer. My professional career led me from Ernst & Young in Stuttgart via EY in Detroit to Wüstenrot Bausparkasse in Ludwigsburg – with stops in auditing, accounting, and financial reporting according to HGB and IFRS. I know both worlds: the structured precision of German accounting as well as the requirements of international corporate structures.

What particularly distinguishes me is my intercultural competence – not as a theoretical concept, but as a lived experience. I have worked in multinational teams for years, led final audits for US subsidiaries of renowned German companies, and presented results to clients and management in both German and English. Bilingual communication and working at the interface between different regulatory and cultural worlds are a matter of course for me.

In addition to my finance expertise, I offer translations of financial and business texts English ↔ German. Through my further education in General Translation Studies and my deep subject matter expertise, I ensure that texts are translated not only linguistically correctly but also content-wise precisely.

I work in a structured, self-reliant, and solution-oriented manner – and place great value on clear, reliable communication with my clients. Remote collaboration has been a normal part of my work for years.

I currently live in the USA and will return to Germany in July 2026. I am available for remote projects immediately.
