Stephanie Geary

As a freelance photographer, my work is always varied. I have been a photographer for as far back as I can remember, and used my skills to capture weddings, events and portraiture. My initial education started at Walsall College where I achieved a GNVQ in Advanced Media. This was in 2001, since then I have self-taught myself photography, and have successfully ran a small business, offering freelance photography. Predominantly I captured a lot of weddings, but I wanted to venture further with my photography, getting more into branding, events and editorial photography, so after lockdown, I took myself back to complete my degree in photography, with me recently finishing and completing it with a 2:1.

I am now a fully qualified freelance photographer. During my time at uni, I gained experience by providing coverage at local events, charity fundraisers and by working with models. My portfolio is full of examples of my work, ranging from events, portraits and fine art photography. One of my passions is self-portraiture and using photography to help tell a story.

Captured images at the June installment of the Stafford music and food festival. I was asked to capture images of vendors, crowds and the entertainment, creating a wide overview of the event.

I was asked to capture images during an event at Stafford Football Club. Party on the Pitch was a community and charity focused event which had various vendors and stalls in place, as well as the team from Vibe 1 and various performances. I was there to capture bits of the day, covering 6 hours.
