As a web developer, I handled the migration of a critical component (datepicker/timepicker) to an alternative library, explicitly ensuring the avoidance of unwanted dependencies. I designed a wrapper to preserve the internal API and enable progressive migration, rewrote and optimized the CSS/SCSS of the timepicker for a fluid, responsive integration compliant with the style guide (variables, themes, BEM) while improving accessibility (ARIA) and performance. Finally, I adapted and strengthened the end-to-end test suite (Cypress/Playwright) — updating selectors, multi-timezone scenarios, and visual tests — and integrated everything into the CI, with migration documentation, QA checklist, and a rollback plan for secure deployment.
