About Stéphane

🎯 Nice to meet you!

An art director passionate about the world of luxury and mass retail, I leverage multidisciplinary expertise in product design, high-end commercial architecture, visual identity, creative direction, and premium illustration. My strength: navigating these two worlds with the same rigor, designing aesthetic universes that are coherent, differentiating, and adapted to each brand positioning.

💼 With a dual background in luxury and specialized retail, I have acquired a strategic vision of product and brand positioning, from creation to on-site implementation:
• Trend analysis and competitive intelligence
• Creation of impactful visual concepts
• Creative project management and collection launches
• Optimization of the in-store customer experience
• Visual storytelling and product staging
• Close collaboration with marketing, production, and supplier teams

🌍 My international background has allowed me to develop cultural agility, operational excellence, and a great capacity to adapt to various contexts — from luxury houses to broader retail networks — while maintaining a high level of aesthetic and strategic rigor.

✨ Creative, rigorous, and results-oriented, I support brands from idea to in-store realization, managing each stage with precision and a sense of detail. Rebranding, global art direction, retail deployment, or custom projects: I am ready to take on the challenge.

📩 I would be delighted to discuss your needs and explore potential synergies. Thank you for considering my application.

See you soon,
Stéphane

🧴 Mission at NBB (DMI – International Marketing Department)

Within NBB's DMI, I supported the marketing teams in developing image and retail concepts, in line with the brand activation strategy and the group's visual identity. I was particularly involved in the design of the Retail Lab for the Mixa and Thayers brands, as part of strategic events such as the World Days.

    🎨 Key Contributions:
    • Creation of visual concepts for points of sale: freestanding displays, display holders, gondola ends, shelves, and retail corners
    • Production of high-fidelity visual mock-ups using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, with particular attention to brand guidelines
    • 3D modeling on Rhino and SketchUp, photorealistic renderings via V-Ray for realistic visualization of in-situ setups
    • Project-based collaboration with internal teams (marketing, trade, packaging development) to ensure in-store experience consistency
    • Strict adherence to tight deadlines, with a strong sense of organization, responsiveness, and graphic quality

🧠 This mission leveraged my skills in retail design, operational art direction, product design, and visual merchandising, with a focus on customer experience, commercial effectiveness, and brand enhancement at the point of sale.

🧼 Mission at L’Oréal CPD – Garnier Retail Design Studio

Within Garnier's retail design studio, I designed innovative and highly industrializable merchandising solutions for high-traffic mass retail spaces. My goal: to ensure maximum visibility at the point of sale, optimize the customer journey, while maintaining strong differentiation from competitors in highly competitive markets.

    🎯 Skills Utilized:
    • Development of modular retail concepts, adaptable to different point-of-sale formats (shelves, corners, podiums)
    • Integration of industrialization and large-scale deployment constraints (mass market), without compromising creativity or brand visual consistency
    • Rapid creation of impactful 2D/3D visuals to facilitate decision-making: hand sketches, digital renderings, modeling
    • Close collaboration with marketing, sales, and technical teams to ensure the viability and relevance of solutions

⚡ My Added Value: a strong ability to move from idea to execution, with great responsiveness and excellent command of design tools. This agility allows me to manage retail projects effectively, ensuring rapid iterations and smooth communication with all stakeholders.

    LUXURY GOODS
    January 2020 - December 2021 (2 years)
    Levallois-Perret, France
💎 Permanent position – L’Oréal Luxe (Azzaro & Thierry Mugler)

As a retail designer within L’Oréal's luxury division, I designed premium retail concepts (corners, podiums, window displays, travel retail) in line with the DNA of brands with strong identities. Each project was based on an immersive approach, careful storytelling, and constant attention to material selection and execution quality.
This role required a perfect understanding of luxury codes, close collaboration with marketing, production, and design teams, as well as a keen eye for detail.

    ✨ Special In-house Project – Unique Bottles
In parallel with my retail design missions, I initiated and led an exceptional project focused on creating exquisite hand-blown bottles, designed as true unique pieces of luxury craftsmanship.
    • Conception of the overall concept, aligned with Mugler's dreamlike and artistic universe
    • Identification and collaboration with French glass artisans and creators with rare expertise
    • Development of signature bottles, each telling a unique story and highlighting the brand's identity
    • Project presented as an artistic capsule collection, both exhibited and sold as collector's items

🎯 This cross-functional project brought together design, art, and perfume, exploring another dimension of luxury: the unique object, rich in meaning, and rooted in creative innovation and the valorization of exceptional craftsmanship.
