I am the founder of Externa-IT and support small and medium-sized enterprises nationwide as an external IT partner. My service portfolio ranges from initial needs analysis, conception, and implementation of tailor-made IT infrastructures to ongoing support and optimization.

My core tasks include the introduction, securing, and management of Microsoft 365 environments, the implementation of reliable backup and security solutions (e.g., with Veeam, Fortinet, NinjaRMM), as well as the setup and maintenance of virtualized server landscapes based on Hyper-V or VMware. Furthermore, I offer professional monitoring, patch management, and remote support: efficient, secure, and transparent.

I bear full responsibility for the stable and secure operation of my clients' IT. My focus is on clear communication, short response times, and pragmatic solutions. The result: long-term partnerships, reduced downtime, increased efficiency, and predictable IT costs; all without any internal effort for my clients.

During my time at ZWF S&C, I was responsible for the complete management and maintenance of the internal IT infrastructure. This included the setup and maintenance of new hardware components as well as the development of central systems such as domain controllers and Exchange servers to ensure stable and secure communication within the company. Additionally, I supported the VoIP system and managed user rights and permission structures.

Subsequently, I increasingly took on operational responsibility in monitoring server performance and antivirus systems. These tasks required a high level of technical understanding and proactive action to identify and resolve security risks early on.

In addition to operational activities, I optimized internal processes by revising and administering the existing ticketing system and documentation system (Atlassian Jira and Confluence). This significantly contributed to transparency and efficiency within the team.

I placed a special focus on IT security – particularly on a sustainable and structured antivirus strategy. Through targeted further training, I was able to build up in-depth knowledge in this area and noticeably improve the company's security posture.

The independent work, continuous further training, and the versatility of the tasks sharpened my technical profile and strengthened my decision to become self-employed as an IT service provider.

During my time at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI), I worked as a student assistant in the IT infrastructure department. My tasks included the maintenance and administration of internal server environments (Linux and Windows), support in the setup and documentation of system architectures, and the automation of internal processes. Through this activity, I was able not only to deepen my knowledge in system administration and process modeling but also to take on responsibility early in a complex research environment.
