DATA Exchange System was born from a desire to build an ESB at the scale of the AccorHotels IS. Initially based on Redhat Fuse ESB, it was migrated and largely extended under Tibco BusinessWorks, becoming essential within the group.

Involved in all stages of the Tibco solution implementation, I worked particularly on synchronization flows for various CRMs such as Salesforce and Siebel

• SCA architecture of flows based on the Tibco Framework

• Bidirectional asynchronous data synchronization flows between Salesforce and Siebel CRM

• Exposure and Consumption of CRM web services

• Complex WebService orchestration flows

• Exposure of SOAP and REST/XML web services

• Full development cycle management:

• Specification, Design, Development, Testing, Deployment on all environments

• Migration of existing FUSE ESB

• Level 3 production support

Context

The "DEX" Framework is a financial flow ESB around KONDOR+. It ensures the bidirectional transmission of hundreds of thousands of daily deals as well as massive reference data between several financial platforms (Murex, Star, Kondor+, …)

Developed in Tibco Business Works, DEX consists of over 32 applications and the internal Framework called CoreESB.

Application Architect, Technical Referent, and Level 3 Production Support. I was responsible for redesigning the Framework to improve availability, service quality, and performance:

• Analysis of the existing system (failures, bottlenecks, causes)

• Design of the redesign and presentation to the teams

• Cost estimation, planning, and phasing

• Development, testing, and supervision of teams in India

• Training of developers and change management support

• Deployment on all environments, go-live

Achievements

• Segregation of real-time flows from massive data flows by doubling Core ESB instances

• Parallelization of processing within each Core ESB

• Elimination of bottlenecks

• Rewriting the data model to be business-agnostic: XML-based genericity and extensibility for all flows

• Rewriting PL SQL stored procedures generically, without impacting the existing monitoring client application (direct XPath management from Oracle)

• Rewriting persistence in the 32 applications

• Implementation of Oracle indexes based on XPath functions

• Implementation of genericity and parallelization of the common persistence management application

• Total isolation of business logic by flow

• Review of the EMS topology

• Improved error handling and automatic recovery

• Reduction and rationalization of internal messages within the Core ESB Engine
