Simon Schu

I am a calm introvert, drawn to dark iconography, **death metal**, and **cats**. When I'm not working, I often cook **spicy dishes**, knock down a wall in my apartment, or develop my **local server**. I love teamwork – that's where I do my best work – regardless of the project scale.

I learned animation by drawing stick figures with a mouse in MS Paint, then creating GIFs after discovering the famous Xiao Xiao series animated in Flash. I studied animation atHEAJin Namur, where I discovered motion design as part of a video mapping project.

I worked for 5 years as an employee in a video production agency before going freelance. I've had the opportunity to work with international motion design agencies, small advertising agencies, and animation studios, oncommercialandentertainmentprojects, in large or small teams.

I am part of **L'Enroule**, a collective of creatives based in Brussels. I share a studio in a historic district of Brussels with other members of the collective.
