About Simon

With 6 years of experience as a freelancer in the video game industry, I have acquired numerous skills through various projects I've been involved in.

I had the opportunity to work on two AAA projects: the first as a Lighting Artist for In-Game cinematics (Need for Speed Unbound). The second, on an NDA project, as a Level Artist and Destruction Artist, a role that led me to work on Houdini setups and within their own engine (Sound/FX etc).

In parallel, I gained significant AA experience as a team lead, responsible for asset production for STYX III. This mission allowed me to discover the role of a Lead and understand its responsibilities.

Over the years, I have developed a fondness for Niagara and FX in general. With time, I have accumulated experience in this field, which has even led me to teaching to share my passion.

This experience has brought me a lot in terms of self-questioning, both in my way of working and my methods. It has also been very formative, as each student brings different challenges, varied styles, and sometimes very peculiar bugs to solve.
