About Simon

Hi!

I am a 3D Modeler/Graphic Designer. Modeler/Model Maker by training and 3D Graphic Designer by profession.

Coming from Product Design, I bring a creative dimension and a particular attention to the aesthetics of volumes.

These different hats allow me to accompany you from the development of a volume to the imaging of it. I work on all types of projects, from hard surface (camera; ski boot; vehicles; ...) to soft surface (shoe; backpack; ...).

Thanks to the Cinema 4D/Photoshop production flow and my passion for image, your projects will be highlighted and textured with care!

    September 2011 - December 2016 (5 years and 4 months)
    Annecy, France
These five years have been largely devoted to the world of outdoor sports for the Salomon, Mavic and Quechua brands, at different levels. From development to visual communication, my job was to model, illuminate, texture and faithfully render these products. Thanks to the Cinema 4D tool, I was able to model both "hard" and "soft" parts, such as Salomon snowboard bindings or Quechua running shoes.

This experience was for me the passage to a professional "maturity", on the technical and especially human level!

During this internship on Alias Studio software, I was integrated into the Quechua Design platform in order to work mainly in eyewear. We developed a modeling process bridging Design and Engineering, allowing for the exchange of ideas and the modifications that this can cause. I also shared projects with other Designers on the platform, which diversified my internship, professionally and humanly.

Following my first year at Strate College, I was able to develop my molding technique on sculptural elements, such as giant chess pieces, a store sign and a flexible fiber optic lamp. During this experience, I was able to participate in original projects such as the molding of a tiger skull, a narwhal horn and a human skull. The purpose of this work was to perfect my composite molding as well as finance a month-long trip to Vancouver.
