Explorer, draftsman, cartographer, photographer, and videographer, a versatility and openness to the world that form his DNA. The illustrated notebooks of his youth gradually transform into beautiful books, films, or works of art. An active witness to what he sees during his travels around the world, his anthropological gaze and his polymorphic style evolve with him. In 2004, he published his first collection of drawings, photos, and texts in London. The River of the Mandala is a very personal work that renews the genre of the travel diary. The same year, he returned to Tibet via the Silk Road to shoot his first documentary. Since then, Simon Allix has traveled the world, published several books, directed and produced numerous documentary films. He also signs the artistic direction of dozens of explorers' books and documentaries for the main French channels. Afghanistan, Tibet, Silk Road, Pamir, Xinjiang... Although multifaceted, his activities revolve around a personal motto: 'Places are only the reflection of a certain era, which it is important to adorn with testimony.'
