Silvia Ceñal

From the beginning, I have sought to explore creativity to design furniture pieces that provide safety, freedom of movement, and enjoyment to spaces, making those who inhabit them feel happy and comfortable.

With this vision, in 2015 I founded Silvia Ceñal Design Studio in San Sebastián, where I have since collaborated with companies in the habitat sector such as Treku, Ondarreta, Lufe, and Woud. My focus is on designing furniture that is not only functional and timeless but also creates an emotional connection, transforming spaces into places of well-being.

My values (trust, closeness, honesty, commitment) are present in every project, from the design of furniture and lighting to art direction and creative consulting. Each piece reflects this honest and committed approach to people and the environment.

In addition to directing my studio, I offer mentoring for product designers, where I share my experience to help other professionals develop their creativity and find their path in design.

I am also co-founder of Ohi Design Project, an initiative that seeks to highlight the re-edition of Basque furniture and craftsmanship. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching at universities and giving workshops on product design, sharing my vision with new generations of designers.
