I have mastered benevolent listening through my volunteer experience. The fact that I am blind has taught me to concentrate on hearing feelings through voice and word choice, and I adapt to all audiences. I have a diploma in mental health first aid, which also allows me to help people identify resources or support structures around them. I am committed to absolute confidentiality. I may sometimes use tools such as relaxation, writing, or music to facilitate expression. Please note: I do not yet have a psychologist title, so my goal is not therapeutic. I am here to provide help and can offer regular support. I can even help find a suitable professional or structure, but I do not replace them. I am aware of the waiting times for appointments, which is why I can help alleviate some of the distress in the meantime. Please note: I do not engage in complacency.
