• Served as key architectural liaison between ING Retail NL and critical departments (CISO, Infrastructure, CRO, Banking Technology, COO)

• Created comprehensive architectural artifacts: principles, decisions, debt tracking, fitness functions, diagrams, guidelines, and enterprise standards

Innovation & Process Development:

• Introduced and scaled Technology Radar across entire ING Group, establishing backbone for decentralized decision-making

• Co-defined ING architectural practices including DDD, BDD, and systems thinking methodologies

• Initiated ING Well Architected Framework based on Azure, Google, and AWS frameworks

• Developed architecture knowledge repository integrated with production tracing and API marketplace

• Regularly engaged 4000+ ING Retail NL engineers on cross-domain concerns, system dynamics, and autonomy improvement

• ING/AXA (Dare) partnership bancassurance initiative domain – tribe of 60 BizDevOps grouped in 4 squads. The goal was to cross sell insurance products to banking primary customers in Italy and Germany by integrating ING Banking Technology Platform to AXA Quotation and Selling services.

• Developed and maintained the architectural strategy and execution roadmap.

• Applying DDD techniques, created just enough, just in time architectural designs that address business needs, technical requirements, scalability, security, and performance, ensuring that the designs align with enterprise architecture principles, standards, and guidelines.

• Created and maintained architectural artifacts, including architecture decisions, fitness functions diagrams, guidelines, and standards on domain level.

• Steered architectural content meetings and decisions boards on tribe, country, group, and inter-company level.

• Verified the implemented architectures as part of architecture review meetings.

• Implemented proof of concepts using SpringBoot, K8s, Oracle, Azure DevOps, ELK, Prometheus.

• Cross domain design responsibilities: payment, quotation, pricing, delegation, purchase, etc. Multiplatform solution.

• Lead target architecture (cloud microservices) and development cycle vision (CI/CD) respecting group strategic recommendations. Put forward ideas and follow-up POCs for unexploited and emerging technologies.
