About Sascha

I studied Computer Science at the Technical University of Darmstadt, graduating in 2016 with my thesis on motion sickness in virtual reality. Since then, I've been working as a software and web developer, specializing in Angular and React.

In my work, I've seen that every company is different, but many face the same challenge: making their digital presence accessible, modern, and future-proof. Many companies already know that accessibility is a legal requirement – but in practice, the most important thing is that a website is easy and pleasant for all users to use.

My specialization is Web Accessibility (WCAG 2.2, BFSG, European Accessibility Act). I help companies update their websites and applications to be legally compliant and user-friendly for everyone. My clients appreciate that I combine technical expertise in Angular, React, and TypeScript with a user-centered approach. Because accessibility isn't just about code – it's about people.

If you're wondering whether your website already meets accessibility standards, or if you feel it's time to make your online presence more inclusive and legally compliant, I'm happy to help. Often, just a few targeted steps can make a big difference – your website reaches more people and stands out from the competition.

Let's connect and make your website accessible, modern, and future-ready together.

During my time at ORWO Net GmbH, I worked as part of the frontend team on the development of modern web applications. The focus was on implementing scalable frontend solutions with Angular and TypeScript, as well as SCSS and JavaScript for flexible and structured styling and reliable interaction logic. I was responsible for translating product-related requirements into understandable and intuitively usable interfaces.

A core project was the development of a web-based photo book designer in Angular. I designed essential UI components, implemented interactions, and integrated the application into existing systems. The goal was a fluid, creative, and precise user experience that enables the design of individual photo products entirely online. In addition to classic criteria such as performance and responsiveness, I developed features specifically according to WCAG Level AA to ensure an inclusive and accessible user experience.

Furthermore, I worked intensively with XSLT templates in the frontend. By transforming XML data into dynamic layouts, content presentation could be flexibly controlled and extended directly in the browser. This interface between the data model and visual design had a significant impact on the user experience in the product configurator.

In the team, we worked with agile methods in two-week sprints. Regular reviews, coordination with backend and design, and joint knowledge transfer promoted continuous progress and sustainable code quality. By actively participating in code reviews and refactoring measures, I contributed to the long-term maintainability of the application.

Overall, I deepened my expertise in modern web development and gained practical experience in developing digital products that combine creative design with technically sophisticated solutions.
