Calista Nyros

Mythology tells that Proserpine, a Roman deity, was abducted by Pluto, god of the Underworld, who then married her, while she was picking flowers with her friends. Ceres, learning of her daughter's disappearance, searched for her for nine days and nine nights. Finally learning the culprit's name from Apollo, she then stopped tending the crops on earth to show her indignation. An agreement was reportedly reached with Pluto so that the young goddess could return to her family for certain periods of the year. Thus, she spends six months in the Underworld, Ceres' grief causing the death of plants on earth (which symbolizes our autumn and winter), then six months with her mother, her joy bringing life back to the crops (which corresponds to our springs and summers). I wanted the Proserpine brand to have a story and a motivation beyond the passion for creation. As a daughter, young woman, or woman, we live through and survive many events in this patriarchal society; we have never been free. So, I would like every woman to feel free through the creations of our brand. Following Proserpine's story, I would like to create dark-colored clothing for autumn and winter and colorful clothing for spring and summer, while minimally following trends, of course, but remaining true to the essence of our brand. Let's be free.
