About Samuel

Do you have a need for Symfony | Laravel | Vue.js | Nuxt.js development?
Look no further.

I am a full stack engineer with over 17 years of experience.
My specialties: PHP, Symfony, Laravel, Vue.js, and Nuxt.js.
I have collaborated with companies such as Médicalib, Carb0n, Groupe Afflelou, Anaxago, and L'Étudiant.

I am able to:
- Design, develop, and maintain features in line with business needs
- Participate in writing detailed technical specifications
- Analyze the impact of product design on the IS technical architecture
- Develop the front-end in Vue, Nuxt, and TypeScript
- Develop the back-end in PHP, Symfony, API Platform, and Laravel
- Design and implement REST APIs (design, versioning, documentation)
- Set up relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB)
- Set up CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Design an API-first, microservices, or event-driven software architecture (RabbitMQ, Mercure)
- Write technical documentation
- Perform unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
- Participate in refactoring, continuous improvement, and code review

I also have knowledge of: Docker, Redis, Varnish, Elasticsearch, AWS (Lambda, S3) — as well as automation of business workflows via n8n and integration of AI APIs (Anthropic / OpenAI) into application workflows.

I do not apply best practices dogmatically — I adapt them to the context.

For example, I do not mechanically aim for 100% test coverage.
However, critical paths — those that must not fail in production — are always covered.
The rest is a matter of business priorities.
Maintainable code, stable deliveries, no wasted time.

Experience

  • Eutyn
    Product Engineer
    LEGAL
    June 2025 - Today (1 year and 2 months)
    Paris, France
Eutyn is a personal project in the CivicTech sector.
Its goal is to make the votes of the National Assembly accessible and understandable to all citizens.
The platform indexes 15,000 votes, covers 4 legislatures, and lists over 60 parliamentary groups.

National Assembly vote data is public but difficult to access and not very usable.
Eutyn structures, enriches, and visualizes it to allow for a clear reading of the political behavior of deputies.
Project designed and developed entirely independently, from conception to production.

I designed and developed the entire platform alone, covering all aspects: architecture, backend, frontend, infrastructure, and deployment.

    My responsibilities:
    > Design of the complete full-stack architecture, from the database to the interface
    > Integration of the National Assembly's open API and ingestion of high-volume data
    > Modeling and structuring of complex data (votes, deputies, groups, legislatures)
    > Development of interactive visualizations of votes and parliamentary groups
    > Independent deployment and production maintenance

The platform indexes 15,000 votes over 4 legislatures and over 60 parliamentary groups, entirely built and maintained by a single person.

Technical context: Symfony 8, API Platform 4, Vue 3, Nuxt 4, TypeScript, Pinia, Tailwind, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Redis, Varnish, Prisma, Docker, S3, Open API, public data, CivicTech.

    CONSULTING AND AUDITS
    March 2024 - March 2025 (1 year)
    Paris, France
Carb0n is a company in the GreenTech and energy transition sector.
It assists tertiary property managers in their decarbonization, from audit to work execution.
The company employs 50 people, has over 150 clients, and manages over 1000 assets in about ten countries.

Carb0n operates in the tertiary real estate market subject to the Tertiary Decree.
This decree requires a 40% reduction in energy consumption by 2030, 50% by 2040, and 60% by 2050.
The SaaS platform covers regulatory compliance, asset strategy, and energy management.

I joined the product & tech team to develop features on the energy management platform.
The team consisted of three product engineers and the CTPO.

    My responsibilities:
    > Development of the BREEAM module: data entry, score calculation, and visualization on assets
    > Integration of the OPÉRAT API for automatic declaration of regulatory consumption
    > Integration of the GDF API for synchronization of gas consumption data per site
    > Modeling of energy performance data (consumption, indicators, thresholds)
    > Functional scoping with energy managers to translate business constraints into features

I helped automate previously entirely manual regulatory processes.

Technical context: Symfony 6, API Platform 2, Vue 3, TypeScript, Pinia, Vitest, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, Mercure, Docker, REST API, OPÉRAT, ADEME, Scrum, agile methods.

  • Futurness
    Développeur fullstack
    EDUCATION AND E-LEARNING
    November 2023 - November 2024 (1 year)
    Paris, France
Futurness is a company in the EdTech and educational guidance coaching sector.
It supports middle schoolers, high schoolers, university students, and parents in building a personalized future project, through certified coaches.
A subsidiary of the L'Étudiant group, it has over 30 coaches and has supported over 35,000 young people and parents for 13 years.

Futurness used an internal business tool disconnected from its HubSpot CRM.
The challenge was to automate data exchange between the two systems to ensure reliable sales tracking and reduce manual data entry.

I was hired as a freelance developer to design and develop an integration API between the existing system and HubSpot.
I worked independently, in direct contact with the business teams.

    My responsibilities:
    > Design of a buffer API between the internal business tool and HubSpot
    > Automation of bidirectional data exchange between the two systems
    > Occasional involvement in the group's SaaS and data platform projects

I helped eliminate manual data entry between systems and ensure reliable lead and customer tracking.

Technical context: Symfony 6, API Platform 2, RabbitMQ, REST API, HubSpot, CRM, systems integration, bidirectional synchronization, data automation, freelance.
