Originally a certified translator for English/Russian, specializing in technology, I completed a part-time training course as a technical writer at the FH Karlsruhe with an IHK certificate from 1998 to 1999. Because technical communication and language technology are growing closer and closer together, I am currently in the final phase of my master's degree inComputational Linguistics and Text Technologyat the University of Giessen.

In addition to my assignments for telecommunications network operators and ISPs, I am involved instandardization for technical communicationat DIN, DKE, ISO and IEC, e.g. asConvenor of IEC/TC 3/JWG 16,which is working on the horizontal standardIEC/IEEE 82079-1**. I am also a member of the **iiRDS consortium,which is further developing theintelligent information Request and Delivery Standard– the standard that makes technical communication fit for Industry 4.0 and IoT.
