Rodrigo José Farach Aldana

Rodrigo Farach continues to consolidate his career in high-performance and endurance sports. After competing in soccer at various levels in his native Guatemala, he ran his first half marathon at age 13 (the Media Maratón de Cobán) and made his first ascent of the Acatenango Volcano at 14. After serving as captain of his high school soccer team and competing briefly at the university level, he temporarily stepped away from sports to focus on his academic education and professional development. During the pandemic, he rediscovered his passion for endurance disciplines.

Since then, he has participated in multiple international events, achieving a personal best at the Berlin Marathon 2025, a second-place finish at the Pico Duarte Express 2022, and completing three Ironman 70.3 events (Maple Valley 2023, Cap Cana 2025, and Happy Valley 2025). He also won first place in the relay category at Ironman 70.3 Cap Cana 2024. In cycling, he has completed two editions of the Maratona dles Dolomites, each with over 4,000 meters of cumulative elevation gain. In mountaineering, he has reached the summit of Cayambe and Chimborazo (6,100 m) in Ecuador. He recently participated in the first edition of the Backyard Ultra, completing a total of 13 laps. He is currently preparing for his transition to ultra-trail running, with his main goal being the Leadville 100 (100 miles / 160 km), a competition with over 4,800 meters of cumulative elevation gain. If he completes it, he will become the first Dominican to achieve this milestone.
