Rocio Maria Vadillo

Since I ventured into graphic design and found a passion for communication, I have worked independently on branding projects and as an employee, working in teams with professionals from various disciplines.

In these projects, it was necessary to generate research questions and appropriate methods to tackle the challenges presented to us in an attractive and creative way. To assemble and execute research plans tailored to the different needs presented to us. And above all, to work in a team under pressure and with tight deadlines.

I was in charge of the graphic and marketing campaign for the Green Party in 2021, leading work teams and developing successful communication between the candidate and the voters.

I am currently interested in the digital and technological world. I have completed multiple courses from Google, Coderhouse, and IRONHACK in UX-UI and agile methodologies. Additionally, to combine two passions, design and communication, I also deepened my knowledge by taking UX Writer courses.

In my free time, I have a very fun radio show on Vorterix where I am a co-host, we talk about current events, a lot of science, and cinema.

What is design for me?

I consider Design to be a thinking tool, a way of approaching life. It makes you practical, agile, and efficient when solving problems.

During my Industrial Design degree, I felt more aligned with graphics and discovered that this was the area I liked the most. And I got closer and closer to digital products.

Coming from the product design background, I can apply the ergonomics of a physical product to a digital one, interpret and analyze how the user interacts with it, whether it's an app or a physical product, and transform that interface to make it communicative. This blend of physical and digital seems fascinating to me.
