Key4Event publishes a SaaS solution for event management (registrations, ticketing, access). Until now, registration was done online in advance. The need: to allow on-site registration on the day of the event.
Fixed-price mission: design and implementation of an on-site registration portal, end-to-end, with defined scope and price, commitment to results.

Implementation
New interfaces designed for quick on-site use: automatic selection of packages based on member type, available seats, entry days, and promo codes; multi-party/multi-method payment.
Built on the existing system rather than reinventing: reuse of the product's APIs and back-end modules (with necessary adaptations), and improvement of reused legacy components along the way.
Initiative taken on UX: challenging the requirements, proposing solutions — not just executing a spec sheet.

Chilax is a SaaS for business process management (quality, HR, organization) for SMEs and large enterprises. The product integrates AI assistance, including an MCP exposure allowing clients to query it from their own AI.
I joined the project as CTO and partner to lead the technical transformation of the existing product, alongside strategic decisions with the other founders.
Tech side
- Architecture refactoring: complete decoupling from the ASP.NET Zero framework in favor of Clean Architecture / DDD. Impact: seamless version upgrades, testable code, simplified onboarding (one module ≠ entire framework), preserved portability.
- Clean modeling of business processes: fewer bugs, significantly improved deployment pace.
- Implementation of CI/CD and delivery of the first production version.
Business/strategy side
- Challenging tech decisions from an ROI perspective. Example: analysis of an Azure → Infomaniak migration (costs, risks, actual client needs). Quantified conclusion: stay on Azure, significant savings.

Septeo Solutions Notaires provides the software solutions used by 6,000 notarial offices in France. Massive legacy scope: original product iNot (25 years, tens of millions of lines), 'successor' product (5-6 years, already in debt), and several new projects.
Long-term mission, started as senior developer and gradually expanded to architecture and structuring decisions. Last freelancer retained by the company for this scope.
Debugging & Legacy Expertise
- Resolution of a historic IIS crash bug due to memory overflow (dump analysis, refactoring of parsing without memory duplication).
- Migration from Spring.NET to Castle Windsor on several million lines: refactoring of thousands of files, resolution of circular dependencies, very few production incidents.
- Diagnosis of historic Word bugs that had persisted for years (VBA loaded too early when opening documents).
