A German Mechanical Engineering Group set up a Digital Innovation Funnel to digitize more of their core business and develop new products.

Initiatives in the funnel will be validated in 3 stages:

1. Validating a Business Model Canvas through Customer Feedback
2. Building and validating an MVP
3. Building and growing a fully fledged product and business from the validated MVP

Each initiative has to pitch at regular intervals in front of a board of C-levels, to be reviewed and receive further funding.

Responsibilities

- Apply user centric design methodologies, to help first time Product Leads to manage and refine their ideas
- Train the Product Leads in best practices in Agile Software development on the job
- Coach the Product Leads in their strategic decision making, e.g. shape of the product, continuation of the initiative, stakeholder management
- Reframe and adjust product ideas, to shape them into a valid business case to pitch to investors
- Knowledge Management and Documentation for the Product Coach team
