Raúl Ruiz Mateos

In 2016, I had the good fortune to participate in the Oscar-nominated film Loving Vincent as a painter/animator, which introduced me to the world of animation, which has been my main occupation ever since.

My background in fine arts has given me a good understanding of human anatomy, and my subsequent teaching experience has given me an excellent grasp of perspective and space. I believe these two disciplines are essential for good animation.

I have carried out numerous projects, primarily explainer videos, which I illustrate and/or animate. I am also used to working in a team, where I focus exclusively on the animation of the project.

My main goal is to learn and constantly improve my work. Therefore, I am always trying out new techniques that can enrich my projects. In doing so, I always try to work on personal projects where I have complete creative freedom.
